The Crystal Springs area experienced a period of development beginning in the 1990s and continuing through the early 2000s. The recent development of the Cecil Commerce Center has created a demand for new housing in the Normandy & Crystal Springs area, and there are at least eight new developments in progress. Many of these subdivisions are near the Cecil Commerce Center, in the Crystal Springs area. New construction ranges from the low $130,000s to as high as the mid $500,000 for custom homes. Resale homes are also available, with homes on larger lots built in the mid-to-late 80’s and later starting in the mid-to high $100,000s, up to the mid $200,000s. For those looking for something more rustic, there is also a selection of ranch homes available, many constructed when the town was established in the 1950s. Prices for single-family detached homes start from below $100,000. Condominiums and townhouses are not currently available but there are land and lots available for custom development.
